We are happy to put Damian forward for further comment: The evolution of the tech landscape in South African business and his take on 2018  tech trends. Damian and his team are currently working on developing their own virtual assistant – the first of its kind in South Africa.

“It’s a privilege to be a part of these awards and to be recognised for our work. We were up against companies much larger than ourselves; businesses that have been operating for over 20 years, so this is great affirmation for us to stay focussed on our strategy, which is to adapt to market needs and keep innovating,” says Damian Michael, Managing Director of Innovo Networks.

The annual awards, co-hosted by Roodepoort Chamber of Commerce Industry (ROCCI) and First National Bank (FNB), identifies and acknowledges businesses who are creating innovative and successful business ventures in South Africa.  This year saw over 500 nominations for the ROCCI/FNB 2017 Business of the Year Awards across the various categories.

“This achievement proves that we are a leading ICT company, and we aim to keep working hard and continue on this momentum. We want to disrupt technology sectors by participating in the 4th Industrial Revolution and offer corporates new solutions that can help them disrupt in their own industries,” says Michael.

Michael has also been nominated as a finalist for the second time in this year’s Entrepreneur of the Year Awards, and was selected as one of the Top 10 IT Personality of the Year in 2016.
