Thursday, 17 August 2023 – AgriSETA hosted its second career summit in partnership with its Deputy Minister from the Department of Higher Education, Science and Innovation (DHESI), Mr Buti Manamela in Mookgophong, Limpopo.

    Agriculture is the future

    Thursday, 17 August 2023 – AgriSETA hosted its second career summit in partnership with its Deputy Minister from the Department of Higher Education, Science and Innovation (DHESI), Mr Buti Manamela in Mookgophong, Limpopo.

    The event was held at as an Agricultural Careers Exhibition day at Waterberg TVET College as part of the TVET Month Activities.

    TVET Month provides TVET colleges with a platform to promote their vocational and short skills programme offerings.

    The programme exposes and encourages young people to consider careers with artisanal, vocational, and technical skills.

    The Deputy Minister was joined by AgriSETA’s Dr Bertha Letsoalo, Corporate Services Executive, who was standing in for the Chief Executive Officer, Dr Innocent Sirovha.

    Over 600 grade 8 to 11 learners from the Waterberg region were exposed to careers in the agricultural sector and other careers that are being offered by our sister SETAs, and other public entities and employers.
