The SBR Expo is a platform and event for entrepreneurs, business owners and leaders in society to gather, in a trade consumer environment, for:

  • networking
  • do business, and
  • to market their products and services.

With the increasing rate of unemployment among the youth, the Small Business Runway Expo aims to strengthen relations and partnerships with both the private sector and local municipalities.

This is so that they can assist in creating opportunities not only for work but for young entrepreneurs where they can be part of their supplier database.

On the day of the Expo, transactions are facilitated and therefore enable entrepreneurs to trade locally in order to add value to the local business economy that would otherwise not have happened outside of the event.

The Expo is popular for the Business Leaders that are brought in to help with workshopping some of the biggest challenges faced by business owners.

"We put power and money in the hands of minority business owners by allowing them a platform to transact," concludes Gcina Madonsela, CEO of Business Runway.

Under the theme Generational Wealth, the SBR Expo has partnered with Pretoria News as the official print media partner and will be headlined by:

  • Caroline Shirindza vice president at Sasol Mining
  • DJ Zinhle CEO of Era by DJ Zinhle
  • Lekau Sehoana chairperson of Drip Group
  • Bilal Kathrada CEO of IT Varsity
  • Thokozani Miya CEO of Neo Aviation, and
  • Themba Makamo founder of Vaya Footwear Sneakers.
